Who we are

LIVE Teleprompter is operated by Yowant (Yowant Studio). It helps TikTok Shop LIVE hosts and their operators run a LIVE: it shows the host what to say next and produces a review of each LIVE afterwards. It is used by invited workspace members only.

What the extension reads

The extension works on two TikTok Shop pages that the operator has open: LIVE Manager and the LIVE Dashboard (the LIVE's statistics page). On those pages it reads:

• the product cards (which product is pinned, prices and stock shown on the page);
• the counters and statistics shown on the page (viewers, likes, sales and similar figures);
• chat messages and purchase notices as they appear in the LIVE, including the viewers' usernames;
• the audio of LIVE Manager's preview player, only on a computer running our transcription helper, which turns it into text on that computer's behalf; the audio is not sent to our server or stored.

It reads no other website. On other TikTok pages it only notes the page address, kept on the computer and never sent.

What is kept on the operator's computer

Everything the extension reads is also kept in the browser on that computer, for an export after the LIVE: the network answers of those two pages, page snapshots and events. Cookies, passwords and request headers are never recorded. “Clear” in the extension deletes it.

What is sent to our server

The extension sends the following to our server, filed under the operator's room:

• the LIVE's session details: the TikTok room id, start and end time, the extension's version, and the LIVE's stream address so our systems can transcribe it;
• LIVE events, for example a product being pinned and counter changes. These include chat messages and purchase notices with the viewers' usernames, stored as raw rows (see below);
• the promotions in force during the LIVE;
• which teleprompter lines were shown to the host, and when.

Audio and transcription

The extension itself sends no audio to our server. The LIVE's audio is sent to Groq for transcription by our systems; only the text is stored.

What we store and for how long

• Raw rows (events including chat messages and usernames, line impressions and transcript segments) are deleted 7 days after the LIVE's report exists, and in any case within 30 days of the LIVE.
• Counts and figures derived from them, and the LIVE reports themselves, are kept for the workspace.

Viewers

Viewer names and chat text never appear in reports or in the dashboard. Chat is used only in aggregate, for example how many questions came in during a product.

Use and sharing

The data is not used for anything other than running the teleprompter and the LIVE reports. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or any other purpose. Data is visible only to members of the workspace it belongs to. We use service providers to run the service (database, hosting, sign-in and transcription), who process data only for that purpose.
